I would like everyone to note, that I am a Fav. Whore.
Yes! I fav absolutely anything I like. Alot of the time I don't comment! Yes! I'm one of THOSE... Those people that fav and don't comment!
But why!?
BECAUSE! I don't always have anything constructive to say.
NO! I am not lazy! When I see something that is truly amazing, I leave a comment! Yes! I do!
But a lot of you (yes YOU) people complain about those short comments. Those dreaded "cool stuff!" comments.
I know. I know. I understand. Let me pat you on the back, friend. It is a terrible thing.
WHICH IS WHY... I don't comment a lot. I have nothing new to say. Someone already said what I wanted to say. So why be redundant?
Why waste the Artist's time?
AND NOW FOR THE JOURNAL!
_______________________________________________________
Oh dear! It looks like somone has gone through my gallery just to report some of my images that contain nudity.
In one instance, my image, Barbarian Queen: [link]
was reported for "pornography" Which it most obviously does not contain. There is no penis, phallic object/vegetable or finger entering her vagina. Nor is there any masturbation, or other sexual acts contained in the picture.
Another image of mine- Lounge in Orange, was reported. It is not graphic.
I understand that there are people on the internet, and more specifically- DA, that do NOT like nudity. But my question is.. WHY would somone click on a thumbnail, which obviously contains nudity even from looking at the small image, and then complain about it? Honestly! One can EASILY pass that image, and NOT click on it.
People who are too sensitive to look at even the slightest hint of nudity should NOT be on the internet. DA is an ART site. Artists WILL and CAN depict nude people. In paintings, life drawing, photography, EVERYTHING.
YES, I know youngsters are lurking around here, but it should not be the website or the artists responsibility to stop 12 year olds from looking at art containing nudity.
Nudity isn't even wrong! We are ALL born nude! under our clothing, we are all nude! I will never understand anyone who is grossed out by nudity. Or believes that a nude body is disgusting, or evil.
Fuck. I hate people sometimes.
EDIT:
Some more of my images were reported for pornography and have been flagged as mature content.
List so far-
Barbarian Queen: [link]
Menstrual Cycle: [link]
Lounge in Orange: [link]
Venus Masturbating: [link]
Possession [link]
Fauns at the Temple of Venus [link]
Calm [link]
(You can't even see the genitals? wtf???)
I'm just really surprised that someone took the effort to go through my entire gallery.. just to report images that even contain a hint of nudity. How much time did this person waste? I feel sorry for the admins/mods of DA who have to go through all of these, and others.
It's a tremendous waste of time for everyone involved.
EDIT 04/20/08 (4:20 is upon us, my friends! I shall celebrate with a marajuana filled swastika cake and guns. Because I'm insensitive like that.
I've gone through my own gallery, and tagged it.
I feel so defeated. If I didn't, someone else would have. And I'm getting tired of having DevArt sending notes telling me they did it for me.
I just wish I didn't have to. I hate thinking that someone isn't going to see my whole gallery for it's entirety. It just bugs me so much! That people can't just skim past the thumbs. (It's really easy, you just have to scroll down.)
Goddamnit. FIN.
Devious Comments
i think the mods on DA actually get pretty annoyed with people reporting stuff like this its a waste of there time - its a waste of your time -
and i love your protrals of the nude body because you make it real!!! you make them look like people not skeletons its part of the reason i have you on watch

Things too tormenting,

I see people complain all over this site about how they don't like nudity, especially when part of the artwork has something to do with sexuality in any way. It's not like sexuality is an integral part of the human experience or anything.
I guess some people are far too uptight or have too big of a stick up their collective ass to get beyond the fact that there are nekkid people in artwork.
Fight the power.

Why couldn't the anarchist draw a straight line? Because he didn't have any rulers!

Sex is a HUGE part of EVERYONE'S lives. So ofcourse there is sexuality in art! I will never understand how people get so upset over seeing a naked body.

And also, I agree that people really shouldn't be clicking a thumbnail if they are offended even if someone didn't put the mature filter over it.
And for the people complaining about nudity... Well, why should it be so fuckin' taboo for nudity? We're born naked (I agree with you)! Also, why do people get offended and call something porno because a woman has her legs open on dA? We're born with that! I have no idea why most religions made it such a taboo on nudity. Yup, it's mostly because of religions that make such forbidden things against it. We ain't born with clothes on. And I cannot see how a body is so evil and shit since we have bodies. Also, what the fuck are offended people doing on a website that allows nudity in art anyway?
I pretty much only put mature content so I don't get my butt in trouble. But, I do let the under aged see it if they want to with only a warning. And I do agree that it shouldn't just be dA to make sure little kids don't see. It's mainly the parents responsibility.
